She takes the same train every day and she enjoys the slow engine sound, looking out the lovely scenes around her everyday. Her favorite is the view of a couple having breakfast in their home. The narration is very well divided between Three women ; Rachel, Megan and Anna, whose life has been linked together somehow. Neither of the disclosed areas in the novel are neatly in order and the message gets more dark before the mystery is solved. The entire novel is written in a cinematic way.
